ALEX BROOMELL

Hi! I’m Alex Broomell, a graphic designer from Groveland, Florida. I’m graduating soon with a BFA in Graphic Design and a minor in Art History. I specialize in branding and illustration. My work is often driven by a strong sense of curiosity, a love of learning, and a touch of my
own personality.

I see graphic design as a space for exploration, creation, and play; where creativity meets strategy to communicate compelling stories, and messages. My approach is rooted in thoughtful design that not only functions effectively but also resonates on a more individual level. I aim to create work that fosters warmth, sparks curiosity, and brings a sense of joy to everyday interactions.

When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me savoring a cup of coffee, getting way too invested in the storyline of yet another video game, or meticulously curating my ever-growing trinket collection.

QUACK! CURIOUS ABSURDITY

Quack is a personal, whimsical, and delightfully absurd deep dive into the iconic rubber duck—a lens through which to explore nostalgia, creativity, and the unexpected ways joy sneaks into adult life. From its origins to its status as a pop culture staple, this project embraces the silliness while challenging the notion that we must outgrow whimsy. Quack is both a celebration and a reflection—an exploration of how even the most ridiculous objects can hold profound meaning, sparking creativity and keeping the wonder of childhood afloat.
