—BROOKE MARSICO
I’m originally from New York, where I first fell in love with the arts. I started out in Fine Arts working with acrylics, oil paint, charcoal, and pencil. I was always a bit of a perfectionist, obsessing over every brushstroke, every line. I loved the process, but I was constantly chasing this impossible standard of precision.
Then I discovered graphic design and everything clicked. It gave me the control and structure I craved, allowing me to align every pixel with intention. For the first time, my perfectionism felt like a strength, not
a struggle.
I found my passion in package and product design because I love seeing my designs come to life. There’s something incredibly rewarding about taking a concept and turning it into something tangible and interactive—something people can hold, use, and connect with.
My design rules are simple: purpose first. Every choice I make, whether that be color, type, or layout, is driven by meaning. I’m always looking to combine logic with design, making sure that form and function
work together.
MAVN ALOPECIA CARE
I was 10 years old when I lost all my hair. I was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata. I was told it wasn’t something that would go away. As a young girl, I was facing a lot of cruelty at school and never felt like I fit in. Those challenging emotions and the stress of losing my hair, was only making everything worse.
I didn’t know anyone else like me. I had questions, but no community. The products I found were clinical, boring, and never made for girls like me. I never got the pretty pink shampoos on the shelves.
That’s why I made MAVN—to create products that belong in everyday aisles, and a space where people with alopecia feel seen, supported, and empowered. Stress plays a huge role in hair loss and regrowth, and our products are made with that in mind. Alopecia shouldn’t be hidden. Society is what makes us feel ashamed. MAVN is here to change that.
